Oxidation can occur at every stage of the life cycle of a polymer that can be initiated by heat, UV light, mechanical stress, catalyst residues or through reaction with other impurities and lead to a loss of physical and aesthetic appearance as well as destroy functional properties. Antioxidation protection is particularly critical under high temperature processing and other thermo-oxidative conditions. Aimcan offers a full range of high performance solid and liquid primary and secondary antioxidants as well as their blends. Physical blends of antioxidant stabilizers with different stabilization mechanisms are the state of the art today. The overall effect of two stabilizers combined is better than what would be expected based on the sum of effects of each component alone.
